Film.

By using a film lens, I am able to capture images with a distinctive vintage feel, characterized by subtle color tones, natural contrast, and a classic grain pattern. These aesthetic qualities can be difficult to replicate with modern digital equipment, and they add a sense of character and depth to my work.

As a creative photographer who enjoys working with vintage and classic equipment, I have made a conscious decision to use a film lens in my work. While it can present certain challenges, such as limited autofocus capabilities and the need to carefully adjust the aperture and focus, I appreciate the unique aesthetic qualities that film lenses bring to my photography.

By using a film lens, I am able to capture images with a distinctive vintage feel, characterized by subtle color tones, natural contrast, and a classic grain pattern. These aesthetic qualities can be difficult to replicate with modern digital equipment, and they add a sense of character and depth to my work.

Although I could easily switch to a digital camera and take advantage of its advanced features and instant feedback, I choose to continue using my film lens because I enjoy the challenge and the sense of craftsmanship that it requires. The process of carefully composing and manually adjusting my shots allows me to connect more deeply with my subject, and to create images that are truly unique and personal.

For me, using a film lens in my photography is not just about creating a vintage look, but about embracing the challenges and limitations that come with working with classic equipment. By using a film lens, I am able to create images that are infused with a sense of history and character, and that stand out from the uniformity of digital photography.

Overall, my approach to photography is one that values creativity, craftsmanship, and the ability to connect with my subject on a deeper level. I hope that by sharing my work and my approach with other creatives, I can inspire others to explore the unique qualities of film photography and to push the boundaries of their own creativity.
